|John F. Alston, M.D., P.C., is a child, adolescent, family, and adult psychiatrist in private practice in Evergreen, Colorado.
Since 1977, Dr. Alston has had a special interest in the evaluation and treatment of disruptive behavioral disorders associated with early life abuse and neglect. He has also had an interest in the differential characteristics of attention and mood disorders. Dr. Alston serves as a child psychiatrist consultant to adoption, foster care, social service, and attachment agencies.
Dr. Alston is one of three worldwide recipients of the prestigious Psychiatry-In-Practice Award (2000).
He is the author of Correlation Between Childhood Bipolar I Disorder and Reactive Attachment Disorder, Disinhibited Type in Handbook of Attachment Interventions published by Academic Press, 2000.
